This is no cheap Chinese import. This drill is made in Switzerland and is built like a tank. It is on the heavy side, but that just shows the quality of the unit. I needed a drill for the handyman projects around the house, but didn't want a cordless drill only to have dead batteries when I needed them most. It has variable speed and reverse, and has easily handled everything I have asked it to do. (I wouldn't recommend drilling into concrete; you should use a hammer drill for that.) Just so you know, the black handle on the front of the drill is easily removable. This will probably be the last drill I ever need to buy. Also, I highly recommend getting the Bosch metal carrying case model 2610906320, since this does not come with any type of case.

I purchased one for myself. Found the quality and construction to be exceptional. I purchased another as a gift for my son. He used it as a driver to assemble his deck and it never faltered. If you need a high quality well built sturdy and powerful drill or power screw driver you will not be disappointed with this product.

Purchased after getting tired of failing rechargeables, this drill has plenty of power, is very, very smooth and quiet, and feels very refined. The rotating grip adjusts easily and holds well. It is well-suited to a handhold behind the motor. Knocked down 1 star because the balance could be better and because it is hard not to pick it up without triggering it.I would buy it again.
