Quality Copper Bottom

What I like most about this pot is that it has a copper bottom, sandwiched between two other layers of metal. I think that copper is the BEST metal for even heat distribution. Also, I like that it's a big pot that doesn't have a huge base that would overwelm the stovetop. (The diameter and height are each 9 inches.)

Hello?! you can purchase the same product AND a lid on BridgeKitchenWare.com for 199.44. (12/9/10). Best priced copper core stock pot you can find. I love love love Sitram, equal to All-Clad and better priced alternative time and time again.Compared to Polarware, Adcraft, Carlisle, All-Clad, Anolon Advanced Clad/Ultra Clad (which doesn't make a stock pot larger than 8 qts, anyway). Have not compared to the "professional" line of Tramontina but did not find a copper core in any of these brands other than All-Clad.

Excellent, Excellent !!!

Perfect for browning, braising and stewing large batches of chicken, pork, lamb or the like. This is a very heavy pot - so that's what makes it great for browning meat (maillard reaction) them simmering it in wine, broth and mire poix (carrots, celery and onion) plus lots of garlic.This is now my standard "braising and stewing" pot and has replaced my 7.25 quart Le Creuset French Oven. It can take more abuse and is easier to clean. It is much wider and will brown more meat faster.Granted that with the 13.5 in. cover, this rondeau will put you back about $180, this will pay for itself in only 2 outings with the family is a typical restaurant.This is my best pot for cooking a large meal for my 3 hungry boys and their friends. I love it.

An excellent piece of cookware

This is an excellent piece of cookware. Wonderful for braising and the perfect size for a double batch. The thick copper bottom really prevents scorching. It's totally bulletproof. I've had mine for over 5 years and it still looks new. It will out live me and probably my kids. Outstanding and I'd definitely buy again. One of my favorite pieces of cookware in my kitchen.

Execellent piece of cookware!

I wanted a very large pot to make batches of homemade soup for freezing and for cooking dozens of ears of corn at the summer cookouts. This pot suits my purpose. It is a beautiful, heavy duty stainless steel. It may be a little bit pricey especially since you have to purchase the lid seperately, but this pot gets an A+ for quality.

Great. Even better than I expected.

I bought this at Sam's Club after seeing similar ones in use at the homes of various friends and family. I am really impressed with it. This "Fizz" model works far better than the cheaper "Jet" model that a lot of people have.Key advantages over "Jet":Doesn't leak. A lot of people I know who have the Jet model seem to have various degrees of leakage when they are using the machine. This isn't a big deal, because at that point it is just soda water, since you don't add the flavoring until after the machine, but I was still relieved that the "Fizz" model doesn't leak at all.Very useful display. This "Fizz" Model includes a very useful display that tells you how much gas you have left in the bottle, and how much you have put into the bottle you are making. This is very helpful especially while you are first getting used to the machine.General Soda Stream comments:Genius. This product is absolute genius in my opinion. It is one of those disruptive innovations that you scratch your head and wonder why nobody thought of it sooner. I'm glad they thought of it though. I love being able to make my own seltzer water since I used to buy it by the case which was a pain.Easy. Making your own soda is so much easier (and possibly cheaper) than buying it pre-made at the store. No matter how much or how little soda you buy, transport home, and store, you'll be better off with just this machine and its CO2 bottle. It is easier and much less space consuming.Fun. Making soda really is fun. It isn't so much work as to make it a chore, but requires enough effort that I look forward to doing the process each time.Personalization. I mainly just drink seltzer from this machine, but occasionally like experimenting with different flavors. When I use their mixes, I often use just half the recommended amount at a time. Adjusting the amount you put in lets you create unique flavors. I also add other things, like fruit juice, to the seltzer water to create my own concoctions. You have to use their CO2, but any type of flavoring is compatible with the system.Environmentally beneficial. Recycling is better than throwing your soda bottles and cans in the incinerator, but even better than that is reusing the same bottle over and over. That is what this machine allows. Between that and reducing the amount of transportation assets used to get you your beverage, this really is an environmentally friendly machine.Complaint. Really my only complaint with this "Mega-Pack" is that it only comes with 1 bottle. The two CO2 bottles make it a great value, as do the 12 samples, but it should really come with 2 bottles too, for the same price. It would seem to be a more `balanced' and kit that way, and would then truly include everything you need. Also, half of the 12 samples are diet. It seems to me that people either drink diet or they drink regular. It would be nice if they could have a way to provide the 12 samples in either diet or regular depending on the consumer's preference (easier said than done, I know).I highly recommend this Soda Stream Fizz.

Solid, sturdy and very useful

i have one requirement for a pot: it needs to fit my Aga stove. In other words, it should have a perfectly flat bottom and not be too tall to fit in the ovens. Since having the Aga installed several years ago, I had to replace the pots that didn't fit or work properly on the big flat plates that serve as burners.. All Sitram pots have a thick flat bottom which works perfectly on my stove. Since most of them are made for commercial use, they are extremely sturdy and come in many useful sizes. When I realized that one of my stockpots was too tall for my ovens, i got this pot, and it's perfect, since it's wide and low. This is a great pot for large batches of stew, soup, or stock. It cleans up nicely by hand or in the dishwasher, and a little stainless steel cleaner takes away any stains that do develop. My only (small) complaint is that the lids have to be purchased separately. As you may have guessed, I own several Sitram pots and pans and like them all. They're not expensive, either.

These boots are extremely comfortable and well made. A bit of a splurge for me, but am so happy I did. I will be wearing these for a long time. I love the color too - Luggage. Easy to slip on and true to size. Not too small in the calf either. In fact, I'm wearing them as I write this!

When i saw Kors released a Hamilton Boot I was so excited, since i own the Hamilton Purse in Luggage and the color is amazing.When i got the boots, I was so excited to see that the color was just as beautiful in real life as in picture.I am 5'8 and the boot hits just below the knee.There is a 1/2 zipper opening that makes putting on this boot a breeze :)When i tried them on the looked beautiful until i turned sideways, my calves were swimming in the boots ( as you can see in picture above).So if you have small calves these might not be the best boots.As for the fit of the foot. They run true to size 8.5 and 8.5 fit the best. They also run a bit narrow --- which was a plus for me, but might not be for everyone.When i walked around in them i heard some loud cracking noises.Also, The lock on the boots seems a bit poorly made, it will scratch up easily and rust.I had a hard time deciding whether to return or not, since i absolutely LOVED the color, but the cheap lock and boots being huge in calves were big negatives for me.I ended up returning them, but i hope Michael Kors will make some more Luggage colored boots in the future that will fit me better :)
