Maximum Stain Resistence

My buddy Drago called me and said he was stopping by with a fifth of Everclear, a sack of China White, and a promise that "tonight will be one that you never forget." And that's Drago's MO: he likes to drink until his body physically shuts down and the only way he can function is if me and my roommate Schemp tie his shoelaces to our shoelaces and walk him to the emergency room. Not surprisingly, "Weekend at Bernie's" is Drago's favorite movie. Or at least I think it is--he doesn't speak English very well and when he does, it usually breaks down to him making an 'O' symbol with his index finger and thumb, and then sticking his other index finger through the hole rapidly while yelling, "Yah? Yah? Yah?" It's a little odd.But anyway, Drago showed up in rare form. And not in a fun way, either, he literally showed up with blood streaming from a Snickers-sized gash in his forehead. He pushed right passed me and face-planted into my sofa. Unfortunately, my roommate Schemp was sitting right where he landed, and Schemp is not a fan of blood, so right away Schemp starts barfing everywhere. And let me tell you something, Schemp must have been eating some dog-doody sandwiches for lunch because my god did his vomit stink. Naturally, I started barfing too. My couch looked like the Suez Canal - just barf and blood and I think some urine all over the upholstery.But wait, things get worse--twenty minutes later the cops showed up. And they came in guns blazing. I guess prior to Drago bleeding out all over my new sofa, he told the cops he had a machine gun and he was coming up to my apartment to "kill every mother-f-er around." Hearing that was a little horrifying, but also, Drago is a master prankster, so he was probably just kidding? Anyhow, the cops come in and they start firing shots like my apartment is the OK Corral and they're Wyatt Earp. I'm with Schemp underneath my coffee table and we're screaming and crying and making brownies in our pants, and there's Drago jumping around and being turned into Swiss Cheese. Right on my couch.When the smoke cleared they found 9 grams of cocaine on Drago and a hypodermic needle filled with acid sticking out of his arm. Needless to say,Drago didn't make it. But guess what--my couch did! All I had to do was take the slipcover to Mr. Kim my Korean dry-cleaner, and have Mr. Kim put the slipcover through three cleaning cycles. Then when it was all clean, I went home and filled the bullet holes in the couch with old newspaper and handfuls of sand. Good as new!
