5Has anyone actually paid $70 to ship this?
By mommyof2
My friend has the red one for her son and I love it! I was so happy to see that they make a pink one. Perfect for my 2 girls. But it is only available online and the shipping is $70!?!?! Do people really pay more for shipping than they do for the actual item. I don't get it. **I am editing this because I just discovered that shipping is only $26 for the red one???!! What the........

5Bought TWO!
By T. Murphy
I highly recommend this toybox. I bought one for my daughters bedroom and it is so roomy!!! I love the fact that you can close the lid and it will not smash your childrens little fingers. Its also very easy for them to open and close. My toddler is 2 years old. I loved it so much that I went back and purchased another one for the playroom area. It is deep and holds a lot of toys yet is easy for small children to get the toys out themselves.

5Toy Box
By Michael Gentry
I would really like to get this for my little girl. I love the fact that this is pink and so girlie. I was just about to order it until I saw that the shipping was $70. Who is going to pay more for shipping then the actual item. I think that is ridiculous so now I am trying to find a new toy box to buy....

5The Best 3-D Sports Game On The Market
By A Customer
We've all played the Pop-A-Shot basketball game in the arcades and this is the next best thing. Actually, I think this is probably the best 3-D sports game I've seen in a long time. It's got plenty of size, and the controls are simple and easy to use by little kids or adults. In this game, the backboard moves towards you and then reverses continuously... so your shot might be short one moment then long another. Like the NBA 3-point shootout, you get a few balls so they continously roll down to a pick up area where you drop them into the shooter and then let it fly. Has electronic scoring and NBA charge sounds, and a bonus window in the last 10 seconds of the alloted 60 seconds. This is a great parent/child game in which the game is a good equalizer! I even played my grandmother! It's also a good alternative to a video game at half the price. Cool colors too. Hope they come out with a football or baseball version this christmas.

5Basketball
By A Customer
One of the most fun things to do in the office is to try to hit the trashcan with a ball of paper. That's a laugh. For more of a challenge, this basketball set really makes for more fun. I got my set for $30, so this is a great deal! With a challenging moving backboard, it's even more fun!

5WORTH THE MONEY!!
By punksnotdeadinvegas
This game is awesome to play or and collect! These are starting to become highly collectable. I have one in a box and I can say I'm VERY lucky to have this item. It is hours of fun and all around challenging! I originally got one for Christmas when I was 10 years old and used to invite friends over to play this. Everyone liked it!! I missed this game so much that I payed over $200 for this game. Its fun to have to play and also is a great collectors item. I know this can be purchased for lots less that $200 but because it was BRAND NEW with a MINT condition box it was lots more. If you can find the game alone I would NOT pass on it as it is a worth while investment!!

4Pokemon Master Trainer Board Game
By A Customer
The Pokemaon Master Trainer Board game is a lot of fun for the Pokemon fanatic. We do not have the electronic Pokemon games. If we did, I suspect that the enjoyment of this board game would be somewhat diminished. Our 7 year old is a Pokemon lover and mastered the rules quickly. He plays at least twice a week and would play more if he could find a willing opponent. The game exercises some basic math skills and requires the use of some minor amounts of logic and strategy. Which brings us to the downside of this game. It usually takes in excess of two hours to play the game. It also has a lot of gamepieces, cards, etc. to get lost. However the game is well made and fairly durable.

5Educational, fun, for kids and parents!
By A Customer
This game is complicated to learn, but is alot of fun for kids and adults too. My son is 4 1/2, and it really is great to play the Pokemon battles with him, helps me know what he's talking about, and also the game requires alot of math skills--dice, adding numbers, recognizing both numerals and dice spots--which offers a great educational opportunity. You can also play simplified versions of the game by creating your own "rules" and leaving out certain aspects of the game. Playing with 3-4 people and following all the rules equals about an hour-and-a-half to two hour game...which kept my son's attention! You need to keep track of all the pieces, though, don't let kids carry them around the house, or they will get lost. My son's six year old friend loves it, though her 3 1/2 yr old brother got too frustrated (unable to count, throw the dice, etc. ) The age level on the game says 7+ but if your child is 4+ and knows numbers and how to count, and is familiar with playing games and taking turns, they should do ok. Young ones-- or any kids at first-- may need the parent going over the rules "tutoring" play as it goes along. It's alot of fun, though--and never the same twice.

5Very fun and easy to change the rules for more fun
By A Customer
I played this game with my 6 year old daughter and 9 year old son and we had a great time! Pretty long instructions so make sure your kids are in the right mood to listen before you play. Midway through the game we changed the rules, my kids seemed more interested in collecting the pokemon and cheering for each other and less interested in doing battles with each other. They didn't fight and played for over two hours happily! Recommended for long vacations and cold winter days.

RISK: 40th Anniversary Collector's Edition [Original] Product Description:

Product Description

About 50 years ago, an award winning French film maker Albert Lamorisse created a revolutionary game he called: La Conquete du Monde - loosely translated. "Conquest of the World." Two years later, in 1959, Parker Brothers published the game we all came to know and love as RISK.

RISK was absolutely unique because it introduced groundbreaking game concepts. It was the first board game to offer non-linear movement - that was crazy thinking back then. Although the rules were simple enough, the strategies required to win the game were not. RISK pushed the envelope and remained unmatched by any other game on the shelf; quickly becoming a phenomenon with millions of copies sold throughout the world.

Since that time, nearly a dozen different variations of RISK have mapped out epic battles in the Star Wars universe, Middle-earth, Narnia, the moon, and various periods in world history. In the game of RISK there are no perfect moves. There are no guarantees. Because everything is at risk!

5The Ultimate Strategy Game
By A Customer
Contrary to some other reviewers here, I consider Risk to be the ultimate strategy game. Risk is pure strategy and diplomacy, unlike some other (good) games mentioned above like Axis and Allies, which combine some strategy with operational aspects, but no real diplomacy.

Some people complain that Risk involves so many dice rolls, that luck is a major factor. I disagree, because the sheer number of rolls makes an unfair distribution highly unlikely. To take maximum advantage of the probabilities you must carefully plan your campaigns, so that you may opt for a more limited objective if your losses have been higher than expected, and conversely, can choose a more ambitious objective if your losses have been less than expected.

The true strategic nature of the game is seen in the diplomacy generally necessary for victorious play, and the timing, force disposition, and operational skill necessary to turn your diplomacy into a winning position. When it is time to strike, you must be decisive, and bring every bit of your strength to bear.

The game's best educational point is the innate comprehension it gives to players of balance of power systems, which allows a greater understanding of history, as well as current events. Another point in it's favor is the geography lesson which children will especially benefit from.

Like Chess, Risk is a simple game which allows for very complicated situations, and thus is suitable for players of almost all ages.

5Magnificent version of a great game!
By Michael A. Brown
This game has been treated well through it's 40 plus years, but never before has it been treated this well.

Easily the best version ever, this anniversary edition is a must for the true "Risk" fan. From the detailed mapboard, to the diecast metal pieces, to the metallic silver box... this is one of the best board games I've ever seen. Beyond the fact that "Risk" is just plain fun to play. (Fun in that annoying way.)

For fans of this game, I'd also recommend the Hasbro/Avalon Hill game "Acquire."

5Great Anniversary Edition!
By Zack Davisson
Risk is one of the truly great board games. There are better strategy games (Axis and Allies), but they can be a bit scary to a casual player. Risk is simple enough for people to agree to play and complex enough to be challenging.

The anniversary edition is really nice, and contains metal soldiers and a re-drawn map with a more antique feel. I really appreciate the compact box, as it allows me more space! It also contains "Secret Mission" cards for play variety.

5One of the funnest games ever made
By jasenao
I grew up playing Crossfire, and now I've had it over 10 years, and it's still in perfect condition and its still fun to play. Me and my older brother still play it every now and then. It's not only fun for kids to play, its fun for adults too, but I would recommend it more for kids. It'll be one of their favorite things to do, if not their favorite. There's not anything that's dangerous about the game.

You have two plastic guns and you use metal marbles that are a little bit bigger than a BB to shoot two items shaped like a star into your opponent's goal until somebody wins. It's pretty much a game of speed because you have to keep loading the gun with the BB's when you run out (which is pretty often). It also tests how good your aim is. If you have any kids, I'd recommend getting Crossfire, it'll be an instant classic in the house.

5Reload! Reload! RELOAD!
By A Customer
I got my first expierence of this game when I was really little, but I don't remember that. I played this game while on vacation at New Jersey, 4 years later and I loved it! So on the way home we stopped at Toys 'R Us and got one. It's nice chaotic fun with a strategic feel. There's these 2 guns at the ends of a board, and you have these marbles and 2 pucks. You start machine-gunning marbles into a puck to try to push it into an oppenent's goal. Keep reloading! One of the guns is more powerful than the other, but that one has more rapid fire. This is great fun!

5i loved it then...my kids love it now
By B. Mayhew
I had this game when I was a kid! Actually I think it was my brother who recieved it as a christmas present but, my family would all take turns playing it with one another. In fact, this game really stands the test of time because my parents still have the very one that I used to play with as a kid and whenever the grandkids come over, including my two children they head right for it! We will be moving early next year, due to my husbands job and we will be living very far away from thier grammy and grandpa so I will be sure to buy my kids this game this christmas so that we have one in our home! This really is the best game out there and even though the age group recomendation is 7 and up my son and nephew who are far younger {2 and 4} even join in on the fun. It really is rare that you find a toy that the whole family can enjoy. This is one of those toys!

5I highly recommend this game to all families!
By A Customer
We have a very large, very competitive family, and when we are together for any holiday or special occasion, we play games. Trivial Pursuit has been one of the best, and the Trivial Pursuit Junior Game has allowed the children to not just play, but often times win. We find the game to be fun and educatinal. We simply keep two sets of cards, one from the Junior Version and the other from one of the Adult Versions, for the various age groups, that way the whole family joins in. It is a delightful way to spend an evening.

5Good for all ages
By A Customer
My grandchildren and I like to play this game along with their parents. Some of the questions are ones children might know but grownups don't so it is evenly matched. The last time I played, my 11 year old grandson won. I highly recommend this as a family game.

4Suitable for non-English speakers
By A Customer
Often other editions (Genus, Millennium) are too sophisticated, some non-English speakers cannot enjoy. But this is the game even they can enjoy. Not only are the questions easier to answer, but the language used is much simpler. We play it in our English lessons, not to mention in parties!

5SUPER TOY VERY HARD TO DESTROY!
By A Customer
I have a very typical little boy and he loves this toy! He has has almost every toy dump truck on the market and none can hold up to this one. He loves it and so does his sister. He started out pushing her in it and now they use it when its time to pick up leggos.

5Large size and very rugged fun for your young un'
By A Customer
First of all this truck is large. The very size of this truck makes an impact and is part of the reason why it makes an enduring toy. The size allows your child to ride on it, to carry sand from the sand pit and things like Lego pieces. The size also makes it hard for it to be left, forgotten, in a corner. The truck is well built with no sharp edges and is very durable. My son has not managed to break it yet. As for the downsides, it is a bit hard and some of the corners could be a bit smoother. I sometimes worry that if one of my kids would fall and hit their head on it that it could hurt a bit. But, I guess, that would be true of most toys. So overall it is a great toy. Highly recommended if your kid is into things with wheels.

5This is one TERRIFIC Truck!
By A Customer
My 3 and 4 yr. old boys love to vroom this truck around outdoors. It is VERY durable and easy for the little ones to push and watch in glee as it quickly rolls down hills. We take it camping with us, and the boys love to navigate it through dirt paths. This toy has been a great hit in our family. One word of caution, it is a very METAL and HARD toy, children under 2 could bump themselves (or be bumped by another tot) with its hard contours.
