5Worth every penny!
By mashby
Because this was such an expensive item I did my homework before purchasing the table. I looked at some cheaper tables to begin with but found that they couldn't come close to the Thomas table by Learning Curve. This table is made of solid wood and took me about 5 minutes to put together. I was able to get the playmat for free with the table through a promotion Toys R Us was having at the time of purchase. Another thing that sold me on the Thomas table was that this is the same table they have at Barrnes and Noble and you can imagine how many children play on that day after day. We have the table set up in our son's playroom since it is such a large piece. Unlike many other toys we have purchased in the past, this is one that we will save for years to come. They are expensive, but they are also made well and come with a lifetime guarantee. If you have a problem with one of their products you simply send it to them with a letter and within about 1-2 business weeks they will send you a brand new item. If you are looking to buy a train table I would highly recommend this one. Though it is more expensive, it is worth it in the long run. Why spend $80-$100 on a table that is only going to last a year or so when you can spend a little more and save it forever? One other hint...Michael's Arts and Crafts and A.C. Moore Craft Stores also carry a decent amount of the wooden Thomas toys. Look in your local paper for their 40% off coupons. They apply to Thomas and Friends which makes it a lot more affordable. :)

4Expensive, but great quality
By Home Movie Buff
I was really torn over whether this table justified it's price; especially since it doesn't include the play top, which you have to buy seperately. Despite the price, I do have to say, I'm very happy with the quality of the product.

When the table arrived the box was dinged, but thankfully the contents inside were well packed with styrofoam and cardboard protecting each piece.

The wood is high quality with easy to connect fastners. Very stable. The train images on the side of the table and on the legs are great. They weren't stickers, but actually some kind of high quality painted image that has a very durable finish on it. Some of the train images even have a full plastic face piece for Thomas and each of his friends.

The table is well designed for a toddler's height and the allows them to reach to the center.

Needless to say my 2 year old son loves it! He wakes up in the morning, says choo choo and runs out to go play at the table.

5Wonderful, but expensive.
By A Customer
This is a wonderful train table. It is cute and stands up to its fair share of everyday use. (I don't think any train table will stand up to children dancing on it, and if this is an issue, then maybe it would be worth waiting a while because all the train pieces you acquire over time really add up!) We have a friend who owns this table and my kids play with it every time we go to the toy store. However, when it came time to buy a train table, we opted for the Imaginarium table. The Thomas table doesn't come with a playboard and by the time you get the table and playboard, you are spending between $250 and $300. You can often get the Imaginarium table for $100. The Thomas table has no storage, and the Imaginarium table does. We didn't think that would be much of an issue, but it turned out to be. My kids have received different pieces as gifts, and when we make tracks, we don't ever use every single piece anymore. The bins are priceless unless you have a lot of space to spare for extra storage, which we don't. Also, the table having storage allowed us to explain to my then three year old that Thomas had to stay on (or in) the table, and only Thomas things can go on the table. They have done very well with this rule, and so have kids, younger and older, who have visited. My kids (who were seven and three when we got a table and trains) don't notice what is painted around the edges or if it said Thomas on it. They simply use the table to play.

Take all the pros and cons when you buy a table, buy what you think is best. I hope you enjoy the family time you get to spend with your kids inventing new tracks and stories to go with it...that makes it all worthwhile! (So does seeing my kids play together in peace or sitting with paper and pencil and making 'blueprints' for tracks!)

5Awesome Fins
By Amazon Customer
I bought these fins before a recent scuba diving trip to Belize. I was a little skeptical for two reasons; price and looks. The price is higher than most fins I have seen on the market and frankly the fins look "high-tech" like the type of fin a new diver with more money than skill would use and spend the whole boat ride talking about. So, I went online to check the reviews and found a couple of good ones from self proclaimed cynical divers who gave the fins great ratings. With my trip quickly approaching I decided to go all in and order the fins with the optional spring straps. I got yellow. Now before I say how great these fins were for me, I have to admit that the fins I have been diving with for 20 years were nothing to write home about. They were a pair of USDivers "Blades" - a very basic fin that always seemed to give me leg cramps and weren't very effective when I needed to swim hard. Usually swimming hard just gave me more cramps. By comparison, the Auqabionic Warp 1 fins were amazing. It took me one or two dives to get used to them, but after that they really performed well. I tried every form of kicking I could think of including power kicks, frog kicks, turning kicks, just flexing my ankles, etc. The fins did all of these great with no calf cramps. The thing that probably impressed me the most was how much power I could get out of them without sucking down a lot of air. A couple of hard kicks and I could move quite a ways without feeling the need to breath heavy. I started out using the adjustable straps that came with the fins and they worked fine. After about 6 dives I changed to the spring straps and liked them better. They are just easier to get on and off and for me the fins feel better secured to my feet. The only thing about the fins that took me a little while to get used to was the flexing of the inner web when kicking softly in low current or drift type dives. You can feel the slight "thump" when the web flexes and at first I thought my fins were contacting rock or coral (one thing I am very careful not to do!). But after awhile you get used the feel and can distinguish between the flexing and actual fin contact. It's a minor thing and actually I thought the feeling was kind of cool after I got used to it.Net, I would highly recommend these. I have never felt more in control under water. The customer service guys are great too. I emailed them mid-day on Easter Sunday and got a response within a couple of hours asking me to call them Monday so they could answer my questions. I wanted to get the sizing right and make sure they would get to me in time for my trip. When I called on Monday I got a real person and the guy was very helpful! He contacted a local dive shop in Cincinnati where I live and shipped the fins to them so that I could avoid the shipping charges. He picked the right size for me, which ended up being smaller than I might have picked from the sizing chart because I was planning to use the fins in warm water only. The guy then gave me a bunch of advice on Belize since he had been there a couple of years prior on his honeymoon. This actually helped us out quite a bit on our trip. I can't remember when I have been happier with a purchase and the interaction with the company who sold the item.

5Fabulous
By Jordan
The Clio is working great for me. I've been using it for about two weeks so far. First of all, it looks very small (and is light) when closed, but the 9.4" screen is great, wwaaaayy better than the Jornada's tiny screen. The folding arms are awesome and Tablet mode is cool too. The handwriting recognition actually works, it recognized most of my handwriting right away and I've further fine tuned it's settings since so it's even better. Recognizes cursive very well too. The C-1050 is twice as fast as the C-1000 and Mobilon Tri-Pad (by Sharp). There's virtually no delay in opening things. No booting up either, since it runs on WinCE and just suspends when you're done using it. Battery life is excellent! It isn't ten hours, but at least 6 on medium brightness & contrast. Synchronization worked without problems using the included software. It's definitely 10 times better than a Palm and in my opinion better than a laptop unless you need to be doing graphics or using Windows programs which don't come on CE as well. I highly recommend it.

5Wow!
By P.J. Davis
It took me some time to decide what I wanted, Palm Pilot, Pocket PC, H/PC, H/PC Pro, ahh! After deciding that the Handheld PC Pro was for me, it was time to compare the H/PC Pros and select the one which suit me the best. I ultimately chose the Clio mainly because of its fabulous form factor...the HP 820 has no touchscreen and the NEC's standard clam-shell design seems to pale in comparison to the Clio's ability to be used as a tablet (for web browsing, writing and jotting down quick notes). When I first began to synchronize data to and from my Clio I too experienced a little slowness with the transfer of my contacts and calendar items, but after talking with the suprisingly helpful folks at Clio support my data transfers are now much faster (apparently the default setting is slow to eliminate possible problems on your first data transfer)...furthermore I had no problems getting connected with my ISP (Earthlink).

The applications included with the Clio are great, I use the Vadem Viewfinder and Calligrapher handwriting recognition every day...

All in all, my choice to go with the Clio H/PC Pro has really paid off, all I needed was an extension of my desktop PC...but I actually got that and a whole lot more. I just can't wait until my wife (the CFO) lets me set up my Clio to be my wireless web-pad around the house!

5Wow!
By A Customer
Originally, I was in the market for a notebook, but I ran into the HP Jornada. I figured that I didn't need a very powerful machine (for all the powerful stuff, I had my home computer); I just needed something portable that could do the basics when I had time between classes. While price searching for the Jornada, I found many PC companions- Vadem's Clio being one of those. The programs, screen size, lightness, battery life, and reasonable price convinced me to buy it. I never thought it would come in so handy as it has! Not only does it have the other attributes I mentioned, but it is very reliable!

4Useful, Well Designed
By M. Crew
Good recording quality for microphone. Good playback voice quality for speaker. Voice clearly legible in all modes (15, 30, 60). Easy to use. Small, easily fits in shirt or pants pocket. Has advanced features, but most users will be happy just using the basic features.

5Panasonic Hand Held Tapeless Digital Recorder
By Sean Ambrose
I received the digital recorder of a gift and its very good for discussions and also fun just to play around with. It has some very cool function and a fast and slow mode. It has a good amount of memory, but that's about the only bad thing. It fills up pretty fast if your recording something thats very long. It has great sound and is perfect size to fit in your back pocket. All in all its a great digital recorder for the price.

5Very Small And Light
By Sheldon
First, if you're perusing these reviews because you're switching from a micro cassette recorder, you're in for a treat. While you can't take the tape out and hand it to someone, the advantages of digital are too numerous to mention here. My favorite is the ability to playback or erase individual notes without having to search the tape to find them.Anyway, as for this unit: I was looking for something easy to use, [price], decent sound quality, small, and good reviews. While it does take awhile to decipher the instructions, the RR-QR80 is relatively easy to use, and I especially like the fact that the two major buttons are Record and Stop. Let's face it, these are the buttons you want to get to fast. You press and hold the Record button for about a second to pause, but I wish you could just click once to pause, then click again to resume. Playback is easy, but all the secondary buttons, including the Erase button, are quite small but have a solid feel. The Hold button feels secure and is easy to use. I've seen some small units where you need to use your fingernail to move the Hold button.I got my unit refubished from Sunshinelect, so the price was right, and the unit was shipped the following business day. Excellent! However, you have to wonder why there are so many "refurbished" RR-QR80s out there. One can only hope there was some inherent problem with this unit that Panasonic fixed. So far so good.Sound quality changes with record mode. HQ will only record for 15 minutes, but sound quality is outstanding. Standard mode will record for 30 minutes, and quality is more than adequate. LP mode will record 60 minutes, and is okay but not great. Let's face it, your not going to be recording live concerts with this thing. Also, the mic level is adjustable, and set to High will record voices from a distance accurately.Size is where this unit really shines. It's the size of a business card/credit card and <.5" thick. It fits easily in a pocket, but if it finds its way to the bottom of your purse you may forget what you wanted to record by the time you find it.Anyway, I write two newspaper columns and needed something to record fleeting thoughts, and wanted something small enough that I wouldn't hesitate to carry around. So, this unit works perfectly for me. However, if you intend to record lectures or lengthy notations, a unit with more memory and a "real" fast forward and rewind might be a better choice (this one will cue and review, but it's choppy).Note: I've now had this for a very long time and it has worked incredibly well (remember, this is a refurbished unit). I keep it in my pocket with my keys and a while bunch of other things, and the display window is so filled with dust you can barely see through it. But, it just keeps going, and going and going.

5A review on the quality of the cut only.
By Brandon Solomon
I cannot comment on the life of these clippers as I have just purchased my set not a week ago.I can, however, comment on the quality of the cut. I have extremely sensitive skin and have had to endure the shadow look on my face for a few years as I have left the razor behind and moved to beard and mustache trimmers, but none of them have been able to get as close to a razor as the Andis T-Outliner has. I use it on my head and face and people have begun to doubt my sensitive skin excuse as the quality of the cut looks to be of razor quality. I also dont have to worry about the bumps that would normally appear when a cut is this close.I have already purchased another set of these as they were on sale as well as some machine oil. NEVER FORGET TO OIL YOUR CLIPPERS. The fate of my beard and mustache trimmers was grim because I didnt oil them as regularly as I should have. I am glad for it now, but imagine how much longer than 4yrs they would have lasted if I had taken proper care of them.UPDATE: It's been 5 years now and I still own this same set of clippers. Once, they stopped working, but it turned out that the screw on the side had changed positions and needed readjustment. After that, everything was fine. I did go through a bunch of clipper heads in the beginning, until I learned how to properly clean and care for them. The clipper head I have now is over 2yrs old and just as sharp as the day I purchased it. As for that second set I got (my 'just in case' set), I keep it in my shave bag for when I travel.Once again, you wont regret this purchase. In fact, you'll only do yourself a disservice by not getting them.

5Awesome...
By sunshinestate consumer
I have owned these clippers for nearly a year. They cut just as precisely now as they did when I bought them new. The wide blade is very nice and requires less strokes. I use these clippers about once a week to clean up my fade/blowout. They cut really thin, as thin as the barbers, only they will not cut razor thin. I have yet to see anything that does cut razor thin besides a razor. These clippers are the closest you can get to a barber chair for your home. I am so sold on the quality of this brand/line that I just purchased the "Improved Master Clippers" to accompany my "T-Outliner". It set me back a hundred bucks but if it is at all like the T-outliner than I will be extremely happy. You get what you pay for and oh yes, don't forget to keep them oiled!

i bought these trimmers a couple of weeks ago, and compared to everything else ive used on my face for a close cut, these definitely are the best. especially for the mustache and outlining the forehead and neck.

4a decent product
By A Customer
this recorder is pretty decent, especially for the price. I'm a college student who uses this product for recording lectures and it performs fairly well. However, you may want to be close-by the voice(s) you want to record or purchase a mic plug-in. The built-in surround mic picks up some unwanted background noise when I record on a meduim volume setting and the lecturer's voice is drownded (recording on a higher volume makes the situation worse and a lower volume makes the voices almost inaudible).

3Pretty good, then failed COMPLETELY!
By A Customer
I have this model, about two years old. Its drawbacks are its tape speed and pause/VAS switches that are too close together and which are almost indecipherably labeled. But it had the other features I wanted -- external mic jack and an AC adapter port.

I used it regularly until yesterday when the entire microphone system failed. It appears to work perfectly, but it picks up no sound now whatsovever -- not with the built-in mic nor with the external mic jack. A real problem when you need a reliable recorder!

4This has been a great bag!
By R. A. Mauritsen
I've had this bag for a year now. It's definitely waterproof ( came in handy when the group I was with got caught in the rain, i was able to keep important stuff like keys and wallets dry) and roomy enough to carry just about everything you need for a day trip. I wish this version can with some sort of small interior pocket for small stuff. it has a small interior clip and I keep a small waterproof pouch clipped to it to compensate for the lack of interior pocket. Overall very happy with this purchase!

5Really a gem!
By A Customer
I first tired it using my friend's item and I loved it. Now I finally got my own unit and I could not put it down. The design of this radio is great. It fits to your arm better than the Sony radio with the arm band, because it has a better designed curve to go around your arm. It is very, very light and thin, so you don't really feel it on your arm while running. There are 20 pre-set stations (10 FM, 10AM) compare to the 10 in Sony's radio. You definitely have more choices.

The reception of the radio is the best, very powerful. There is also XBS for extra bass and boosts the low frequecy range. The headphones are very light weight as well and comes with the adjustable headphone cord. Also, it only needs 1 AAA battery for 25 hrs play. The pakage comes with 4 batteries! It is water resistant, digital easy tuning. I just can go on and on about this little thing. Overall, it is the best portable radio I ever own that looks so cool and works so well! Love it and it is worth it!

3Great radio, but uncomfortable headphones
By A Customer
This radio is great. Working out is a lot more fun while listening to music, and this radio doesn't get in the way because it just attaches to my arm. Also, it looks cool, I get good reception, it stays snug on my arm, it's light-weight, and it has a lock switch that prevents me from accidently draining the battery. The only problem is that the headphones are extremely uncomfortable. The plastic pieces that go in your ears are too big for me. I had to go out and buy some Sony headphones that were more comfortable.

4Great Radio!
By KLETCO
I love this radio. It is great to use when working out, whether you actually use the arm band on your arm or to attach it to the machine you're using.

Positives: 10 FM Stations!!!! This was one of the few armband radios that I could actually find that would allow me to program more than 5 FM stations. It also allows for 10 AM stations, which I could never in a million years fill. Reception is good, features are good (Hold is feature that I like, that forces the radio to keep its settings no matter what buttons are pressed - keeps the radio from being accidentally turned on in a gym bag). The radio is lightweight and compact and batteries seem to last quite some time.

Negatives: Headphones are uncomfortable. No worries, I'll buy new ones. Reception is good but not great. If you're moving around, you sometimes lose reception a little too easily. Moving between preset bands (1 & 2) is a little difficult.

4Can't go wrong with Nixon (sorta)...
By John S. Lee Jr.
It seems like every time I need (or want) a new watch, and, I try to sort through different brands, I always end up with Nixon. They're reliable, fair priced (for the quality) and just damn good looking watches. This one in particular model is really cool, with just enough features to keep it sensible, and not over burdened with buttons and functions that a normal person in normal situations would have their head explode. If I had to complain about one thing, however, it would be the temperature gauge. It is not going to read the exact same temperature as your house thermometer; it will probably show about 8 - 10 degrees higher (or lower at times) because of your body temperature added in. the manufacturer suggests taking it off and let it sit in it's surroundings for about 10 to 20 minutes to adjust - sorry, but I'm not going through all that every time I have to move from one location to another. This particular feature is merely a luxury to me, and, I could live with out it and still enjoy this watch. When I visited Nixon's website to do further research on this model, it had the watch listed in both the men's and women's category (much like some of their other watches). When I was shopping this watch around, some sites had it listed as strictly a woman's, while others had it listed as a man's. I would say it should be categorized as unisex (maybe)? I know it is the smaller version of The Unit (being that I have slightly thinner wrists than the average guy, which is why I decided to give this one a shot); let me tell you - it looks just like any other man's watch (as far as thickness and size). And, just like the previous Nixon watches I've owned, fits just how I like it. All in all; you can't go wrong with Nixon.

5Cool Color!
By Sunshine
I love this watch and glad that Nixon made it in a smaller version for women. Bought my daughter the sea foam green one and this lavender one for myself. We both love Nixon watches because this lightweight material does not feel heavy. I like seeing the day of the week, month and date all at the same time without having to press buttons to find the date. Love these watches!

5One of the best upgrades for your car or truck!! Awesome product!
By CJ
I purchased this direct through VAIS in March 2013 and I am extremely happy with this IVIC unit! I will warn you that I purchased the required Samsung MHL HDMI adapter from Amazon which I thought was authentic for my Galaxy Note 2 phone, but I was sold a fake!! I confirmed this by going to Best Buy and buying the adapter there. The real adapter is about 5x heavier in quality build and shielding as opposed to the knock off. I sent my adapter back to Amazon. To be clear, the vendor of the fake MHL adapter WAS NOT VAIS, they don't sell them. The fake adapter was causing the system to glitch and cut out frequently. The new adapter has been working great and I do have the occassional glitch so far, but I think it has to do with the AT&T network signals interfering with the HDMI output on the phone. VAIS support is working with me on this..it could be an issue with my phone make/model but they are good about releasing firmware updates that you can do yourself without uninstalling the unit via the quick USB extension they provide you. That extension also allows you to plug in your newer generation ipods and thumb drives for USB MP3 audio connection and more.Despite the occassional glitch of lost signal to my screen, I am still giving this a 5 star review for now because VAIS tech support is amazing and the product is a game changer to update your existing car's audio/video. Lexus charges a lot of money to update the NAV system in the LS460/600 vehicles but this allows me to bypass the oem nav if I want and use apps like Waze and Google Navigation which are constantly updated..for FREE!! I added a $9 bluetooth mouse to enhance my experience with this IVIC also. Not required but it makes it more fun to use and the roller ball on the mouse allows for side to side swiping and scrolling on the screen. My factory nav unit does not allow me to swipe, but this is not a fault of the IVIC..it is a Lexus screen hardware limitation on the 5th Gen Nav of my LS.This install should take less than an hour on most vehicles. It only requires access to rear of nav screen and back of oem radio to connect the plug and play harnesses. I paid less than $70 at a local Best Buy because I didn't want to take time to do it myself..lazy I guess.Kudos to VAIS for coming out with this product. At $449 price, it is also about $150 less than when it first came out, so it is a great price for everything you get out of this. I could post more but basically whatever you do on your phone now, music, videos, talk to text, web, streaming netflix, NBA Broadband, etc...you can do on your car screen..Amazing stuff!CJ

5Fantastic Product
By Kevin T
If you own a later model Lexus, this product is for you!!! It does exactly what it promises. Basically my phone becomes my car audio, video and communication system. There were a couple hurdles at first, which was expected, but everything works like a charm now. I installed it in my LS600HL and all of my original equipment (DVD, HD, SAT...) works alongside the IVIC seamlessly. Self Parking feature and cameras all work fine. No wires to cut or splice. The techs (i dealt with Eugene) at Vaistech are extremely helpful. They respond very promptly and work diligently with you to get things working correctly. Updates are available online and extremely easy to install. Games, video, audio, youtube, email, texting,.....basically anything you can do on your phone, you can do on the car touchscreen. Definitely buy this product if you are looking to get the most out of your system. It even works with my Beatsonic Nav/DVD bypass installed.

5Best product ever
By Eric Schuster
I purchased this product on day one. I have to say that I am VERY impressed- not only with the service from the company, completeness of instructions and the actual functionality of the product but also the sound quality I get now in my Lexus. I had a previous VAIS unit from 2007 called the SL2i which essentially took an ipod and emulated a CD changer. The iVIC is a whole different level.Never update your stock maps againDo not worry about uploading your phone book or new contacts ever againstream ANY music at full digital quality- Amazon, Pandora- you name it.Watch flippin movies while you are sitting still of course :)Use full voice (make sure your phone is somewhere close because it will use the stock mic on the phone) control for responding to texts or whatever else. I had cables run to my center console- makes plugging in and unplugging easier. Also makes using voice commands easier. This takes an older Lexus like mine- 2007 and makes it surpass what auto makers are putting out today for the cost of a single car payment (or a little more). I was on the verge of getting a new car so I could actually use my phone the way I wanted. I was sick of constantly taking an ipod in and changing things and synching and then plugging it back in (OH YEAH- AUDIO BOOKS!)This thing does everything I wanted it to. Get it and love it.PS- full disclosure I had a professional install it but I have since swapped it out after a glitch- VAIS Swapped it free and fast when the glitch was identified.Update- VAIS continues to be wonderful and has updated the firmware several times for additional function (full screen now) and more stability. I did have my HDMI cable end bend and then break so if you are running cables I recommend a male to female for the primary and then a male to micro as the last foot or two.
