Saved us a ton of money

Usually we subcontract out our concrete coring, but we're working an out of town project and the cost just to get a coring company to show up was running over $100 per trip. We ended up buying a Diamond Products core drill rig and this Milwaukee motor. We've more than paid for the cost of the entire rig on this project and believe this is a good investment in the future. We got good advice from a local tool supply house that rep'd the Diamond Products line. We got a training video from Ohio Power tools, we bought drill bits from Diamond Products. The information is out there on what speed motors are appropriate based on the size of the of the bits you're typically using (1 1/4" to 5" for us). The rig and the motor are both heavy duty and we assigned one guy to understand and run or supervise the running of the drill rig. The bits lasted for many holes before needing replacement. A little daunting to put the whole package together and get ready to drill that first hole, but it's not rocket science and the information is out there.Overall, a fairly expensive piece of equipment, but I have no doubt that it's more than paying for itself versus subbing out the work (even when we are working in town).
