Great Meter, Check seals and Dates

The first one of these our group received had been opened and was missing a part. I'm glad it was or it would have been hard to know the probe had actually been opened and possibly damaged by incorrect storage.Amazon exchanged with no problem, but I was disturbed they sent an open box item in the first place.The new unit was manufactured in July 2010, and the probe looks like it was made the 26th week of the 10th year (first digit 0, 2nd,3rd 26)One thing the instructions don't include is the assembly. The probe only fits in the front positions with the storage cap on. The post can be mounted in any of the 3 base positions and one of the ends can be attached to the meter itself on the bottom. (remove the spacer and it will only fit in like the picture, but either side.It would be nice to have a taller post so that it could easily reach into a beaker on a stir plate.
