5Makita Recipricating saw
By J. Casper
This is the best recipicating saw ever. We had recently purchased a fixer up house and it helped us out in every aspect. We owed cheaper name brands and they just didn't hold up to the power that this one has.

5Amazing saw
By Billy
I've had this saw for several years now, and my dad had it several years before that. It's fell off of a two story house. Fell out of the back of a moving car, and I haven't had any trouble with the saw at all. I just had to change the power cord on it tonight, but all things considering it's been an amazing saw. I haven't found anything that it hasn't had the power to cut through. If you are debating on whether or not to get this one stop thinking about it and buy it.

5Great saw
By irishhandyman
What a great saw. I purchased mine back in March of 03. Yes, that's 2003. The only thing I ever had to replace was the power cord. Just did that last night. I do a lot of home renovating. I have cut through some very tough, seasoned, hardwood studs, joists, flooring and everything in between. In this 10 year span I never had to replace the brushes. The trick is to break it in properly from day one. Very few times in life has any tool ever not let me down at some point. This one never did. I did however let it down today. cutting about 15, seasoned oak 2X4's and putting it back in its case, I laid it in the bed of my truck. Wish I had remembered that an hour later. After leaving the site to get a bite to eat I entered the highway. I was in a hurry to eat and start the next part of the job so I opened up and let the ponies run. I let them run so hard the sudden acceleration threw the saw onto the highway. I knew I screwed up as soon as I heard the sound of screeching tires. As I looked out the rear view I saw the case break open and saw the saw tumble out onto the pavement. In a split second I hoped there was no one behind me. Hope was given up when I saw the front tire of the loaded cement truck run over the saw. Watching the drive axle tires spread the remaining parts like hot butter over pancakes made my heart fall into my stomach. Needless to say I lost my appetite. Worried that I might have caused a flat on the mixer truck, I slowed down and the truck passed. Since I wasn't hungry, I followed him to his job site. When he did stop I jumped out and expected to get my butt chewed, the driver and I talked. We checked the tires and no harm done. He even felt sorry for me. Moral of the story, any tool that last's this well rides in the cab. I will be looking for one here on Amazon as soon as I am finished posting this.
