5Nice Value
By David C. Brayton
I've been using this light for a couple weeks and I'm very pleased. I've been remodeling my workshop and as the days get shorter, I needed more light. This takes about 10 minutes to un pack and set up. The color of the light produced is a softer yellow, not a harsh white. (So, if you need light that is full-spectrum, look elsewhere.) The orientation/direction of the lamps are easily adjusted and they stay put. The lamps are plenty bright and at a 1000 watts, you can feel the heat radiating from them.Heavy duty switches and construction. It is rated for use in wet conditions. However, if it is set at the maximum height of 7', it is a bit wobbly. Also, the cord is extremely short. This needs to be very close to a recepticle.26NOV05 A couple of days ago, I saw this at Home Depot for $35. It's currently advertised here for $52.

1Awful. Cheaply made. Terrible Stand.
By Maverick Johns
I bought this based on the positive reviews here. I was let down.1 The stand is junk. If you were to set it up as it looks in the picture, it would fall over (because the center bar would be lower than the legs). Basically, unless you have the sleeve completely lowered, and the legs completely out (farther than shown in the picture), the stand is useless. Using it in any other configuration is meaningless because the center bar is too low (thus the legs don't all touch the ground).2 Once this unit heats up, the lights droop. Basically, the nut that you use to choose the angle gets hot, and then the light goes with gravity--- down (regardless of how tight you crank down on the nut). I've only been using the light for 3 hours, and I've had to reposition the lights 6 times because they keep sagging--- and I'm making it as tight as I can humanly possibly make it. It's just a downright flawed design.Yes, the lights turn on when you plug it in, but other than that, this thing is complete junk. DO NOT BUY IT.

5Great for the Price
By C. Clark
Throws a ton of light. Not super sturdy... it does feel a little flimsy. But in 95% of user conditions this is not a problem at all... in fact, the lightness just makes it easier to position. I use it to install hardwood floor after dark. As soon as they come back in stock I'm buying another for my brother-in-law for Xmas. And... Amazon delivered this product in two days without damage. I'm getting tired of people leaving feedback complaining about delivery... review the item, not Amazon/UPS/Postal Service.
