10000 Steps to Fitness

I love this! It motivates me to keep moving. I see throughout the day how many steps I take, how much I move. Surprisingly, even without exercise, I get in a good 6000 steps...I pace. So reaching the recommended 10000 is pretty simple. Now I am aiming for at least 12000.I want to lose 10 lbs before summer (this cold winter has been hell for shrinking EVERY PAIR of my jeans). I think this is going to really help me to stay focused. Focused might be better described as crazily-obsessed. But whatever.I have counted my steps and it literally will keep the exact number of steps. The mileage is pretty close to what I have mapped out with my vehicle, so I am growing more and more confident with the accuracy of this device. 2400 calories burned a day...trying to eat around 1500...I might be falling short on that. Too bad this doesn't monitor intake. Oh well. I am developing healthier habits. It is 10000 steps in the right direction.**update**. Clapping or applauding count as steps, Costco does not...apparently having your arms on a shopping cart pushing it keeps the thing from counting those steps...which is ok, you can just applaud for a while and catch up I guess. Still love this monitor, it is overall very accurate.

I just purchased this product and cannot find anything not to love! It is just what I need/want to track my activity.The size is not too large, yet the readout is quite clear for "older" eyes (over 50). The buttons are basic and easy to work with. The set-up and functions are simple to perform to get ready to use! (easier than any other kind of unit I've attempted to set up)I checked it out with the distance (steps) walked. I also checked out the heart rate readings w/ cardio equipment at the gym. It all lines up fairly accurately (in an acceptable "ballpark" for what I want!).There are other types & styles of fitness monitors, but this is the perfect one for me! (no more dropping pedometers in the toilet...argh!) -- I always used a separate watch to track length of time for fitness activity. But this allows me to track so much more in a clear and easy to use way! And the price is about 1/2 of what the other types of monitors cost.This product is a win/win for me! I highly recommend it for functional fitness and tracking for your everyday lifestyle!
