3Warning - check saw compatibility before purchase
By Pope John
Thanks to the other review guy for pointing this out. This product was rated top tool by Wood magazine, so I was ready to buy, but it won't fit my saw. I have an old Craftsman. Go the the Freud website for the directions on compatibility [...]. The blade requires at least 1-3/32" arbor length for a 3/4" dado. Mine was less then an inch after subtracting the arbor nut width.

5Great tool
By Bruce W. Thompson, Inc.
Dado setup has never been easier. No spacers or shims needed to get the exact desired width of cut, just dial more or less width in .004" increments.A handy chart tells how many rakers and dial "clicks" are required for a range of cut widths. The case keeps all parts neatly stowed.I got the 6" version for use in an under-powered (1.5HP) table saw. If your saw is beefier, the 8" version would enable you to cut deeper dadoes.

3Nice product-poor documentation
By J. Langevin
Unfortunately I had to return it as it did not work with the Ridgid T2424 tablesaw. The arbor bolt is too short and housing interferes with 3 small bolts on the outside dado blade (opposite of dial blade). Talking with the Freud representatives, it doesn't sound like it works with Craftsman either but you should double-check to be sure before buying like I did. Duh!Documentation is unclear and inaccurate. Luckily there is an 800 number and person I talked to was friendly. Dado blade didn't work on his tablesaw either! Make sure you have a good tablesaw... ha ha.
