Each bit is individually balanced, giving a cut above the rest. Revolutionary Quadra-Cut design employs four cutting edges vs. two, for a flawless finish that requires no sanding or rework. Two carbide cutters have an up-shear angle to remove most of the stock while the second pair of down-shear cutters makes a final cut to produce an ultra clean edge. Soften furniture edges and create decorative beadsUse on all composition materials, plywoods, hardwoods and softwoods. Use with hand-held and table-mounted portable routers.

5Impressive router bit
By Handy Bob
I bought this to round the endgrains of a fair number of pieces of pine on edge, planed down to exactly 1" by 2" for a large model, and used it on a Bosch 1617 2 hp on a Bosch RA1181 table. The performance was flawless. The bit is 2.5" in diameter, 7.85" in circumference. If you run this at the max speed (25,000 RPM) of the Bosch 1716, the outer edge travels at almost 196,349 inches per minute, or about 185 miles/hour! Not quite Mach 1, but a lot faster than needed or safe. I used a speed at what seemed like 15,000 RPM (the Bosch router does not have an RPM calibrated dial) and the bit made clean cuts, even in end grain (several pieces clamped together) at moderate feed speeds.I have the little sister bit, 3/4" rounding over, 1/2" shank, and it has gotten a lot of use and it has stayed very sharp with minimal pitch build-up.Be aware of the size of this bit. Your table or base needs to have an opening larger then the 2.5" diameter. One of my tables does not, and none of my bases do.

2bearing threads stripped
By William F Ticineto
This cuts very clean but after less than 40 hours of use the threads that hold the bearing stripped. The bearing fell off, needless to say the cut went deep and ruined the piece. I have to contact Freud for warranty/replacement, one day late for the Amazon return.
