5Awesome device
By Adam
I ordered this due to issues between my previous DSL modem and Netgear WNDR3700. The 3700 was wicked fast at the time I bought it but the old DSL modem was having too many issues. Looking to simplify and use less power and wanting the latest in technology I waited for this. Local network speeds have stayed the same as I have yet to purchase an 802.11AC adapter, but less latency on games, about 15% less, which is great. I am also getting a stronger signal on WIFI. Note though on 2 things: One the Readyshare plugin is still slow; It is not a substitution for a NAS setup. Also the 802.11AC is only supported on the 5Ghz frequency. Just food for thought. Also for those wondering it is backwards compatible to Wireless B/G/N.

5Great DSL Modem/Router
By mike
Basically set up itself. So far 8 items connected ( 2 desktops, 2 laptops, 2 HDTV's a PS3 and a wireless capable printer Epson XP-300 Small in One) more will be added and thus far no problems. We only have this running 2 days as of April 28, 2013 and it has blocked literally thousand of hacker attempts and we are working on e-mail blocks (spam especially) buy one thing and you get bombarded with more, especially TV items. My nephew is more the administrator and set it up and will monitor its functions, etc. He states he plugged it in and didn't need to really do anything to get it running. What more can you ask for?

5Netgear D6200 Modem Roter
By LawDog
I have Windstream DSL and have been having trouble staying connected with the modem they supplied. I have also started to have some issues with my old Netgear router [WNDR3300] as it was lacking in range. Most everything in the house has been converted to Apple products, and the traffic is getting pretty heavy. 5 I phones, 1 I pad, Mac Book Pro, I Mac 27". Apple TV, HP 8500 premium printer and 2 windows lap tops. So we are pretty heavy users at different times of the day. My windstream modem a speedstreem 4200 had to be reset a couple time a day, and after contacting Windstream to no avail, I decided to replace the modem. After finding the Netgear D6200 Modem Router combo on CNET with a good review, I decided that I would give it a try. I am by no means a computer guru, but I know enough to get by. I have had it up and running for a week now, and I have not had any issues with the system. No resets or failure to connect to the network. The setup was very simple and I renamed my network to match the old setup, it took me about 30 minutes including a firmware update. The coverage has increased in the home, as I had some dead spots with the old router. I do not have any products that are above the N range at this time so I have no info on the new AC wifi, but it's there when I do.Over all I have been very happy with the results I have been seeing. Nothing worse than having to get up and reset the system every few hours, it's much like every time you go to turn the lighs on having to go to the circuit box the flip the braker. All in all I would recommend the D6200 at this time.
