This is not a 3.5" but a 2.5" Drive! Never the less it is an awesome drive and worth every penny.

Never the less it is an awesome drive and worth every penny.You can still use it in your desktop and the good news is it uses less power and gives off less heat.All I can tell you is dollar for dollar don't buy an SSD for the big bucks when this drive performs almost as well as a high priced SSD and I do not think that in the real world anyone can see a major performance difference if you ran two exact systems side by side one with an true SSD drive and the other with the Seagate STBD1000400 SSHD drive. Adaptor kits for the 2.5" to 3.5" mounting bay are readily available. So go for it! You will be happy and your computer will fly.
