Great Gun for the Money

For the money, you can't beat the DA250A. Although not the lightest nailer, it is very manageable. The angled magazine makes it manuverable in tight spaces. Although it uses oil, the exhaust port can be directed (without tools) away from the work so there's no fear of oil marring your new wood. Clearing jams (what few you might have) is a cinch with the hinged door on the front of the magazine.
I compared this to the new N62 Bostitch ... While the Bostitch was much lighter, I attribute this to the fact that the Bostitch has a PLASTIC magazine instead of aluminum like the PC. I would rather have the more rugged magazine.
One final note: This nailer now is shipped with the red colored restrictive fire trigger which makes the gun work great. No more of the problems listed by previous reviewers.

After 8 months of use installing trim, I am very impressed with the PC finish nailer. The gun rarely jams and the jams are easily cleared. The feature to control the depth of countersink is convenient and very accurate. The only potential weakness is the standard trigger which allows firing multiple nails when the nailer "kicks back" when nailing in very dense hardwoods such as oak and maple. There is a free retrofit to address this problem.
This is a great nailer and is better than the more expensive ones I've used previously.

I purchased this gun when getting ready to build a replacement set of stairs - landing, outside my colonial era house. I am not a professional builder (now) but have considerable experience building furniture, additions, stairs, sheds, etc... This gun DOES suffer from multiple firings with the standard trigger, however a free replacement single shot only trigger will be shipped immediately upon a call to their 800 number. This trigger eliminates the problem entirely. I recommend this gun highly.
