Product Description
The Malco MS24WH Wheeled Magnetic Sweep easily navigates uneven terrain while attracting and retaining metal debris. The 4" diameter magnet housing is designed to freely rotate on a stainless steel axel. There is no need for height adjustments. The cylindrical housing turns slightly as obstacles are encountered to prevent captured debris from being wiped off.
A large capacity collection hopper allows multiple releases of debris without having to travel to a common dumping location, saving you time. The filled hopper is easily lifted off the sweep frame by hand to be emptied.
Permanent magnets assure long service life and are resistant to shock and vibration. The magnets and wiper blade are replaceable. The T handle features a cushioned grip that offers superior maneuverability and control.

24" magnetic sweep w/hopper

This magnet works very well. It has saved me flat tires on two roofing jobs so far. Slowly push/pull this magnet. You will hear a "ting" every time anything metal is drawn to the magnetic drum. Then you pull the starter type cord rapidly. The metal piece will fly into the hopper , and you continue on. Works very well. I would recommend buying the hopper with the magnet , as I did. It is quite heavy duty aluminum. With out the hopper to put the debris into , you stand the chance of knocking the debris off the drum , as you continue through grass. I am also going to buy a hand held magnet for getting into smaller places. The nice part about useing this magnet is that it picks up many metal objects that are not seen.

I've now used the Malco magnetic sweeper for several months. It works great. The sweeper rolls easily over a job site, picking up all sorts of iron-based materials. The sweeper has no difficulty with long grass and uneven surfaces. It's easy to use and to empty.My only suggestion for an improvement would be the addition of a second roll pin for attaching the hopper.
