Coverlet? What is that?

Ok the shams were perfect. The color of both the shams and coverlet were perfect, the material nice, but the size of the coverlet? It says California King but my expectation was that it would fit my bed like the picture...NOT! It barely covers half way down on both sides. So perhaps the name coverlet should have been a hint I suppose since I never heard of a cover described this way. Beware.

I really like this bedding, not too heavy but provides ample warmth. It has a nice sheen to it as well. Good quality.
