Great Machine!

I own a housekeeping service and have been buying the pervious versions of this machine for years. They're durable, lightweight, and powerful. You can vacuum daily with this machine and it will last for years. This machine uses bags, I prefer bags vs. bagless. The bagless machines are dusty when emptying, and the filters are filthy nightmare when they they need to be cleaned. As well, the bagless machines will hold an odor until a new filter can be purchased, whereas if this machine develops an odor it can be easily resolved by installing a new bag. As with all machines of this style, be sure to firmly reattach the suction hose after using tools, as a loose connection here will detach while you're carpet vacuuming and you'll wonder why it's not doing an effective job. Buy with confidence!

OK Vacuum

All plastic housing, but appears reasonably well built. The vacuum doesn't work well on bare floors because it blows a lot of the dirt that is not directly in its path to one side or the other. Very powerful suction, so it tends to suck up area rugs, i.e. it doesn't work well at all on area rugs - and we also have a Dyson that doesn't work well on area rugs. Works quite well on wall to wall carpet. We needed a simple, durable vacuum for a vacation rental and this works, but I wish it had the versility to work well on bare floors and area rugs too. The suction hose is servicable but somewhat awkward to use. I'd choose a more versitle vacuum next time.
