The Bailey Archer Fedora Hat is a warm weather teardrop crown fedora made of lightweight crushable toyolene straw for a flexible, comfortable feel. A stripe around the top of the crown matches the braid hat band for an interesting touch of color, and the modern 1 5/8" stingy brim can be worn up or snapped down in front for a stylish look. Bailey of Hollywood - Archer

I picked up the Bailey of Hollywood - Archer in the two colors available - Almond and Smoke. I wish there were more reviews on Amazon for Bailey hats, or hats in general. It is very difficult to know how any hat is going to fit ahead of time since you usually can't go to the mall and try them on. I normally wear a 7 3/8 in New Era baseball caps and the Archer in Large fits me perfectly.Compared to the Billy, which is another great hat, Archer is slightly smaller in terms of proportions. It is still bigger than Mannes though. It is made of a paper/polyester mix. That doesn't sound fancy, but it is nice and comfortable. It's thicker than the Mannes, but thinner than Billy. It feels lightweight.The hat looks great. The grey is a grey (not a silver), which is good. Also, look carefully to see the thin band on the brim of the hat. The Smoke one has a dark grey and the Almond one has a dark brown rim-band. I don't exactly love it, but it's very thin and not too noticeable. It does give it a bit of flair to differentiate it from other hats.The brim is stingy, so you can wear it up all-around like a pork-pie hat, or you can wear it with the front-part down, like a fedora. It just snaps into place and holds there. Since you can wear it easily as either a pork-pie or a fedora, it's really like getting two hats in one.Archer is quite comfortable and very good looking. It's a little bit pricey in my opinion though. It's probably more of a hipster hat than the Billy, given the extra little colors here and there. But overall, a cool hat that will be good for summer months.
