Product Description

Evolved from the ancient Dragosaur species, Fang Man spent his youth in the Valley of Dragons. Skeletor recruited Fang Man after discovering his ability to control the fire-breathing dragons to do his bidding. Fang Man used the Dragosaurs of the past to assist the Evil Lord of Destruction in his evil plans when Skeletor used the Wheel of Infinity to go back in time and stop Castle Grayskull from being built. Eventually, defeated by He-Man, Skeletor abandoned Fang Man in the past where he resides with his ancestors on Dragosaur Isle, waiting for the return of his master. Fang Man has piercing teeth and uses his mind-control ability to manipulate fire-breathing species.

5Evil Fanged Minion of Skeletor!
By Cory Howard
Back when Mattel first revealed the rights to produce characters based on the beloved Filmation cartoon, one character that seemed to be on every Filmation enthusiast's top ten list was Fang Man. Although he only made a single appearance in the cartoon (as did almost all of the more colorful, memorable Filmation villains), Fang Man has remained a popular character over the years; and at last his time to shine has finally arrived! First of all, I can't stress enough how appropriate and spot-on his detail and color scheme are. Keeping his cartoon origin in mind, the 4H have designed this guy flawlessly and he looks like he just stepped right out of the screen. While his large, yellow eyes and long, protruding tongue look a little cartoonish and goofy, that's the point and all part of the figure's charm. For me, the true appeal of Fang Man is all of the smaller details, such as his creature themed belt buckle, clawed hands, fat neck and humped back. What makes Fang Man pretty unique in the line (apart from being the second Filmation character) is the fact that almost all of his parts are new. While he's not totally new like, say, Ram-Man; Fang Man uses many more new parts than old which is pretty rare in the line. What makes Fang Man even cooler of course is his accessories which include a nifty long sword (the hand guard features a motif similar to the belt buckle), an "energy" slingshot and, best of all, he comes with the Wheel of Infinity which is not only the magical relic featured in Fang Man's Filmation episode, but is one of only a handful of MOTUC accessories that isn't an outright weapon. All in all, while Fang Man wasn't the next Filmation character I was hoping to see, I was glad to add this popular lackey of Skeletor to my Evil Warriors shelf!
