Arai Vector 2 Diamond Blue Full Face Helmet

Everything you want, Nothing you dont.

Introducing the Vector 2, the latest version of Arais hugely-popular less-is-more Vector model. Specifically crafted for the rider who doesnt need all the bells and whistles of our other models. But who cant imagine not getting the Arai familys unmatched three generations of handmade magic with care and craftsmanship, rider protection, performance, comfort and fit.

The kind thats earned Arai 12 straight J.D. Power and Associates Number-One rankings for Customer Satisfaction-while on other brand has earned even one!

(The fact that the new Vector 2 costs a little less doesnt hurt either.)

What becomes immediately obvious is that, while still adhering to its less-is-more design intent, the new Vector 2s impressive array of features, benefits updates and upgrades results in an Arai Helmet in which more costs less.

Includes Arais multi-density EPS liner, which is like no other. It is comprised of up to 5 different densities in some models which is molded into a single piece. The single-piece hybrid liner and its unique benefit: the direct-fused contact area that each EPS call shares with its neighboring cells creates a mutual support - as one cell is crushed under impact, the surrounding cells assist with the energy absorption. (Liner pieces that are simply fitted or glued together cannot rely on such a high-level support bond.)

5Excellent Helmet. Highly recomended.
By John
I've owned some cheaper brands of helmets and decided to upgrade to a premium helmet last summer. After looking at, and trying on several brands and models, I opted for the Arai Vector 2.Likes* It's a very comfortable helmet. It is reasonably light. I really like the way you can adjust the padding by removing the tear-off layers of foam.* Its looks sharp. The solid red looks great with a dark shield.* Ventilation is excellent. I live in the Arizona desert and have ridden in 110+ temperatures. As long as you are moving, this helmet provides enough ventilation to make the ride enjoyable. (at a stoplight, it's definitely face-shield time up in those temps)* Wind noise is acceptable. A little better than other helmets I have tried.* Arai shields are excellent. They seem optically perfect, almost like glass. Cheaper helmets seem to have slight imperfections and minor distortions. Arai shields also seem much more scratch resistant.Dislikes* Although I have gotten the hang of replacing shields now, and can do it in about 15 seconds, it is challenging at first. It took a few tries to figure out the proper technique. This seems to be a common complaint of new Aria users.* I wish this model had the removable neck roll like more expensive Arai models do. I think this should be standard in all premium full face helmets.I installed a Sena headset easily in this model.Regarding face shields. Dark Smoke is best in bright sun. It provides about the same darkness as medium tinted sunglasses. Before I bought Dark Smoke, I tried Light Smoke. For me, it was not dark enough for bright sun. I felt like I needed to wear sunglasses with it.Overall I'm a satisfied Aria owner and can recommend this model , When time comes to replace this one, I will definitely but Arai again.

4Great Helmet
By Kenister
I've been riding for about 8 months with an HJC IS-MAX BT X-Large and decided that even though I liked how it fit my head, it was probably still too big for me as at high speeds, I noticed the helmet top sinking to cover my eyes. Not good. So for my next helmet purchase, I decided to just go for the best big brands. I was deciding between an entry level Shoei or Arai helm and the internet pointed me to Arai. The helmet was prime eligible and got it in two days. The cheek pads were very snug on my cheeks but this is normal from what I hear. A cool thing about this helmet are the custom fit cheekpads, you can remove an extra 5mm of padding in the cheeks and temples. I haven't done it yet as I feel the padding will eventually break in to a better fit but I will shorten it if that doesn't occur.I noticed at high speeds, turning my head to change lanes no longer pushes my head back. Awesome.Wind noise: I wear ear plugs often so I can't really offer a good analysis but the few times I've worn it without plugs, it was noticeably quieter than my HJC. Still not enough for me to stop wearing ear plugs though! The only thing I would change is the length of the helmet strap. It's really short and I'm quite positive I wouldn't be able to pin it with my gloves on.Other than that, the helmet is solid and sexy cool.
